petite ceinture, nouvelles de la peripherie collectif
Pour dialoguer avec ‘Walking the High Line” selectionné ce mois-ci, en anglais j’ai recherché des éditions sur notre équivalent parisien, ‘la petite ceinture’ voie ferrée désaffectée et toujours inutilisée tout autour de Paris. Je n’ai pas encore trouvé de copie de ce que je vous présente, et ne peut donc commenter sur son contenu. J’aime l’idée de travailler sur des narratives à partir d’une photo, mais trouve l’utilisation du noir et blanc plutôt réductrice et passéiste lorsque l’on a vu le travail de Joel Sternfeld qui nous montre les couleurs et les saisons d’un paysage entre nature et urbanité.

Whilst the original edition can reach the £300 mark, you can now get your hands on this second edition of the amazing collection of photographs of this very special disused railway in the heart of NY before it was redeveloped by Diller+Scofidio. These photographs actually triggered interest in the place again and were certainly a turning point for the development ahead.
